Medical Visas are granted on an individual basis by each American Embassy in a specific country to children requiring care and who can not receive it in their own country. The children should not be terminal and there is a long list of criteria needing to be met before the visa can be granted. This should never be attempted as a vehicle to adoption. Each and every child coming in needs to return to their home country upon receiving a healthy to fly letter from the Hospital or specialist treating the child as required by US law. If you are looking for care for an orphan you are in the process of or wish to adopt, the better option is to finish the adoption and then the child will receive ongoing reliable care through your health insurance policy. Children in on medical visas must have donated care and are not usually able to return to the US quickly and easily for repeat care.. Please contact me if you would like further information on this.
I have been blessed with a full and wonderful life. Since my retirement I have dedicated my life to helping indigent children around the world who are in need of medical help in the US.
